Why we use a microscope

The way we do this surgery uses a microscope and a small cut just above the scrotum. It is slower than other types of surgery, but it gives the best chance of working, the lowest chance of needing it done again, and the smallest risk of a fluid build-up afterwards. The microscope helps us see the artery that feeds the testicle so we can leave it alone.
