Other ways to treat it
Other ways to fix a varicocele. What each one is good and bad at.
There is more than one way to treat a varicocele. The main choices are:
- Surgery under the microscope (what we do here).
- A radiology procedure where coils block the vein from the inside (no scrotal scar).
- Keyhole surgery, where small cuts are made on the tummy.
- Doing nothing, if you have no symptoms and you are not trying for a baby.
Each has its trade-offs. We will go through these with you.
