Will it help with having a baby?

When sperm tests get better. The chance of a natural pregnancy. Surgery or IVF first.

  • Sperm tests start to improve from 3 months. Most of the change is seen by 6 months.
  • About 35 to 42 out of every 100 couples get a natural pregnancy in the year after surgery.
  • If you need IVF anyway, doing the surgery first often improves the chance the IVF works.
  • The choice between surgery first or IVF first depends on your partner's age and other tests. We will help you decide.
